EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE and EDUCATION SCHEME (ECCE) at Enniskerry Montessori School.
The ECCE scheme otherwise known as the 'free preschool year' is a major development in the area of early childhood care and education. As a universal scheme, it is hoped that all children will be able to benefit from a preschool place in this highly important developmental year before they commence national school. Children will be eligible if they are aged between 3 years 2 months and 4 years 6 months on the 1st September each year.
Enniskerry Montessori School are delighted to announce that we have been accepted and certified to participate in this fantastic new Scheme which begins January 1st, 2010. We believe that every child deserves the most positive experience possible from their preschool education and would encourage all parents where possible to avail of this service for their child.
